Abstract
860,854. Rotary pumps. WALKERS (CENTURY OILS) Ltd. March 10, 1959 [March 28, 1958], No. 9939/58. Class 110 (2). [Also in Group XXVIII] A liquid transporter unit comprises a reservoir 10, containing a reversible pump 11, and coupling means 22, 30, each provided with valves 23, 41 which are opened when the coupling is effected. The pump may be hand- or power-driven and, as shown, is mounted on skids 46 or wheels. The female part of the coupling 22 has a valve 23 which is opened, against the pressure of a spring 25, when an end 26 contacts a displacement portion of the male valve 41. Screw adjustments for the valve springs are provided. Claws 31 (Fig. 5, not shown) engage recesses 38, and the coupling is secured by a half-turn of one part relative to the others. A closure cap 48 may be provided for the part 22.
