867,701. Photographic objectives. AGFA A. G. Dec. 18, 1957 [Dec. 22, 1956], No. 39396/57. Class 97(1) An objective having a relative aperture of at least 1: 2 consists of three air-spaced components of which the first and third from the long conjugate side are convergent and the middle one is divergent and consists of a biconcave simple lens, the ratio of the sum of the lens thicknesses to the sum of the separating air spaces being between 2-5 and 8 and the third component having its more curved outer surface towards the middle component. Numerical data are given for one example of the objective shown, for one example in which the front component is simple and the rear component a doublet and for two examples in which each component is simple.
