Abstract

851,411. Tractor cabins. NORDPATENT A. B. Jan. 16, 1957 [Jan. 18, 1956], No. 1663/57. Class 108(1). A tractor cabin has two side frames 10 of channel members held in spaced relationship by transverse members and the front and rear of the cabin are sloped upwardly and rearwardly to protect the driver should the tractor rear or overturn. A windscreen 23 pivoted at 22 is held in one of a number of open positions by an adjustable stay 28. A sliding door may be provided on one or both sides of the cabin. Provision is also made for a passenger's seat having a' seat back 60 suspended from brackets 66 projecting from the frame and a seat 61 hinged to the back 60 and located at its forward edge by brackets 68. The seat may be stowed when not in use or it may be extended to form a protection for the rear of the cabin.
