[Also in Group XX] A measuring stick 10 with a scale 12 for grading animal carcasses has a flange 11 projecting from one end at right-angles, with its inner side disposed at the zero mark, and a second flange 13 projecting in the opposite direction with its outer side at the zero mark. To measure the length of a carcass the outer side of flange 13 is placed against the aitch bone, and to measure the back fat thickness the inner side 19 of flange 11 is hooked over the back of the carcass.
