Abstract

A device for applying creams or waxes to the skin comprises a sheet of flexible open-cell polyurethane foam material into the pores of which the substance has been introduced by heating. The foam is preferably backed by a heat insulating sheet of a material such as polyvinyl chloride and the device may be shaped to fit particular parts of the body. An inflatable cover may also be provided to press the foam into close contact with the skin.
