Abstract

857,203. Screw-and-nut mechanisms. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO. Ltd. Dec. 8, 1958 [April 14, 1958], No. 11812/58. Class 80 (3). Limited rotary motion is transmitted from a nut 6 to a nut 9 at a different speed by means of an axially movable screw 13 having threads 11, 12 of different pitch co-operating respectively with the nuts 6, 9. The nuts 6, 9 are located axially in ball races 5, 8 and the screw is prevented from rotating by a forked member 14 secured thereto and engaging a guide rail 4.
