Abstract

843,711. Filing papers. SHUNIC Ltd. Jan. 6, 1959 [Jan. 13, 1958], No. 1213/58. Class 146(1). A rotary card wheel comprises a substantially horizontal platform, rotatable about a vertical axis and having a raised central portion, and vertical spacer plates radiating from the central portion and secured to the platform by means of tongues and slots maintained in locked relationship by means of the central portion. The spacers 3A and 3B are formed in integral pairs connected by a web 6. Tongues 12 on the lower edge of each partition are inserted in slots 12A in the platform and have extensions which when the partition is moved radially outwards, engage the underside of the platform to prevent vertical displacement of the partitions. A tongue 11 is also provided on the web 6 for engaging a slot 11A in the platform. The central portion which comprises a disc 4, Fig. 3 (not shown), is inserted between the inner ends of the partitions and secured thereto, preventing inward radial movement of the partitions. The platform is provided with a rim 5 and cards are maintained upright in a part empty compartment by means of a sinuous spring wire with its ends engaging an upstanding flange on the central disc and the rim 5, or by means of a clip engaging the rim 5 and having an integrally formed vertical port carrying a radial inwardly extending spring-steel finger.
