Abstract

840,839. Moulding footwear. SCHNEIDER G.m.b.H., J. & C. A. July 7, 1958, No. 21692/58. Class 87(2). On a base plate a is arranged a frame b which has a rounded profile on the inside which merges at the top into a sealing nose b<SP>1</SP> and at the bottom has a vertical edge b<SP>2</SP>. This vertical edge b<SP>2</SP> surrounds an outer pre-formed sole c lying on the base plate a for part of, e.g. the lower half of two-thirds, of the thickness of the same whilst the upper half of the sole c is surrounded by a rubber mixture d. An insulating layer of felt e may be provided and the mould is closed by a last h carrying an insole f and an upper g. The mould is heated to vulcanise the rubber mixture.
