Abstract
849,975. Fibre drafting arrangements; sliver guides. HOWA KOGYO KABUSHIKIKAISHA. Oct. 29, 1956 [Oct. 28,1955; Dec. 14, 1955]. No. 32941/56. Classes 120(1) and 120(2). A drafting assembly has a top apron roller and a further top roller mounted on a bottom middle roller driving an apron, drafting fields being formed between the front rollers and the top apron roller and between the back rollers and the further top roller. Slivers are passed from back rollers 23 to the nip between bottom apron roller 1 and top roller 4 and then over the apron 2 to be further drafted between the apron rollers 1, 5 and front rollers 17. It is said that adjustment of the top roller 4 only is necessary to give desirable roller settings. The top rollers are loaded by a spring 13 which acts through levers 14, 19; lever 14 operates through rods 15, 16 to load rollers 17, 5 and lever 19 operates through a handle 25, lever 24 and wire 21 to load rollers 4, 23. Release of the handle 25 relieves the loading on all rollers. Before entering the back rollers 23, the slivers pass through trumpet guides 8 and condenser guides 7 which latter are slidably mounted. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 753,534.
