Class 20(4) A spacer for holding in position a plurality of wires for stressing or reinforcing concrete comprises a resilient deformable tubular member 11, e.g. of polyethylene, nylon or hard rubber, having grooves 13 extending along its length, each groove being adapted to receive one of the wires. The width of the mouth of each groove is narrower than the maximum width of the groove to assist in retaining a wire which fits closely into the groove.
