Abstract

Heated workpieces are coated by dipping into a mechanically agitated bed of powdered thermoplastic material in a container. The agitation may be by means of a rotary impeller or impellers, which may be in a compartment of the container separated by a screen, in one leg of a Vee-shaped container, the other leg being used for the dipping process, or in pockets opening into the container; or by vibration of the sides of the container. The coated articles may be subsequently re-heated to fuse the coating. Specifications 643,691, 688,268 and 759,214 are referred to.
