Abstract

Articles, e.g. loom parts, gears, hammers, and handles, are made by first pressing finely divided high density polythene, having a molecular weight above 500,000, into a shaped part, pressing the part at a temperature, e.g. 150 DEG C. cooling the part and finally pressing it. A sheet may be formed from which the desired articles are cut and stamped.ALSO:Articles, e.g. loom parts, gears, hammers, and handles, are made by first pressing finely divided polythene, having a molecular weight above 500,000, into a shaped part, pressing the part at a temperature, e.g. 150 DEG C., sufficient to plasticise the polythene, cooling the part and finally pressing it. A sheet may be formed from which the desired articles are cut and stamped.
