Class 30 [Also in Group VI] A knife, primarily for surgical use, has a sheath 8, over the cutting edge 3, which is joined to the handle 1 by a connection 12 which has to be broken in order to remove the sheath before the knife is used. Preferably the handle is moulded on to the tang 6, the blade being placed in the mould and the handle, sheath and connecting link then being formed in one piece, using a material such as polystyrene.
