Abstract

848,139. Packages; collapsible tubes. MORETTI, E. May 5, 1958 [May 4, 1957; Jan. 14, 1958], No. 14332/58. Classes 66, 94(1) and 94(2). A bag for liquids is formed by transversely welding a flexible tube, one weld being shaped to form a conduit 2, apertures being cut in opposite walls of the conduit one of which is used as a filling opening. The bag may be filled by a needle 2a, a tongue 12 being initially inserted as a guide. The needle may fit the conduit tightly. The apertures are closed by an eyelet 3, or a plug, Fig. 11 (not shown). A screw cap emptying nozzle 10 having a seal 11 may be fitted, or the weld may be shaped to facilitate emptying by cutting off a corner as at 7.
