Abstract

846,215. Toothbrushes. POMA, G. G. Z. Nov. 12,1958, No. 36341/58. Class 19. An electric motor 18 and a belt, pulley and shaft drive 19, 20, 21, 15, 14 to a flexible cable 10 driving a cylindrical toothbrush rotatably mounted in a hand grip are mounted on a bush 5 extending through an opening 3 in a moulded, plastics pedestal 1. The bush 5 is clamped to the pedestal by a nut 24. The belt 21 and bush 5 are of electrical non-conducting material, whilst in the bush 5 are self-lubricating bearings for the shaft extending through the bush. A press switch 2 controlling the motor 18 is mounted on the pedestal.
