Abstract
844,268. Cushions. FISHER & LUDLOW Ltd. Sept. 16, 1958 [Oct. 21, 1957], No. 32821/57. Class 52(4) [Also in Group VII] A cushion cover of leather, leathercloth or like material is marked out for stitching (see Group VII), by being introduced between the dies of a highfrequency press, at least one of the dies being provided with marking electrodes adapted to produce permanent impressions on the material corresponding with the configuration of said electrodes. As shown, a. cushion cover 34 is marked with a series of parallel lines spaced at two inches apart. The cover is first folded along one of said lines and is then stitched along said line to a fabric backing 35 by a single row of stitching 37 passing through two layers of cover and one of backing. The cover is then folded back over the line of stitching and is folded along the next impression preparatory to being stitched to the backing by a seam 39 spaced one and a half inches from seam 37. These operations are continued to form a series of passages, and the latter are subsequently filled with some suitable stuffing material.
