Abstract

832,897. Making paper &c. bags. WANG, H. July 16, 1958 [July 20, 1957], No. 22895/58. Class 94(2). A method of producing bags with at least one closure clip is characterised in that the clip is adhesively secured to the bag material prior to formation of the bag. Bag material 1 is drawn by feed rollers 3 from a reel 2 and material 4 is drawn by rollers 6 from a reel 5. Clip material 8 preferably metal is intermittently drawn from a reel 9 by eccentric roller 11 which co-operates with an adhesive applying roller 10. The clip material is severed by cutters 12, and passes between the rollers 3 where it is attached to the material 1. A plurality of clip material feeds may be arranged side by side when more than one clip is to be attached to the material 1.
