Abstract

832,805. Encasing structural steel. LOWE, W. C., and MARTIN, W. G. June 11, 1958 [March 14, 1957], No. 8474/57. Class 20(4) A structural steel member 1 is encased in sheets of gypsum board &c. 5 and finished with a coating of vermiculite plaster. The bottom part 13 of the plaster is cast in situ using a mould 12 and the rest of the plaster is applied by a spray gun. Wire mesh 9 forms a key for the plaster. The boards 5 are retained by U-shaped clips 7 and hooks 8, the latter supporting zig-zag wires 11.
