Abstract

The protective layer over an inking paper is a solution of low viscosity, containing at least two organic polymeric substances. A suitable solution is made up of: 1 part cyclized rubber, 3 parts chlorinated rubber, 6 parts stearic acid, 0.25 part aluminium stearate, 1 part castor oil or similar plasticizer, and 88.75 parts of solvent, e.g. carbon tetrachloride or trichloroethylene. Instead of chlorinated rubber, polyvinyl acetate, polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, a silicone or an alkyd resin can be used.
