831,210. Valve accessories. MOOLENAARS, J. Feb. 12, 1957 [June 5, 1956], No. 4796/57. Class 135. [Also in Group XV] To prevent tampering with the contents of a gas container, the draw-off cock 1, having an integral outlet nipple 2 closed during transport by a cap nut 3, is provided with a seal 6 of metal &c. which embraces the cock and at least partly covers the cap nut. The portion of the seal that lies against the body of the cock has reinforcing corrugations 8 which render fraudulent attempt to loosen the cap nut immediately noticeable by their distortion. A round cap nut may be used instead of a hexagonal one, in which case it may have a recess or a projection to engage a correspondingly shaped portion of the seal to retain the latter in place.
