839,801. Belting. GOODRICH CO., B. F. May 8, 1958 [May 8, 1957], No. 14779/58. Class 80 (1). A V-belt of rubber and fabric has a pair of laterally spaced reinforcing cables 12, Fig. 1, in the neutral section of the belt and grooves 20, 21 in the top and bottom surfaces of the belt respectively defining between the cables 12 a body portion C of reduced thickness to provide for transverse flexibility. In Fig. 1 a double V- belt is shown having pairs of driving surfaces 15, 16 while in Fig. 2 a single V-belt is shown.
