Abstract

A disinfectant dry-cleaning composition comprises an aqueous solution of a quaternary ammonium compound, such as lauryldimethylbenzyl ammonium bromide, cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide, or laurylpyridinium chloride, dispersed in a preponderating quantity of dry-cleaning solvent such as white spirit or trichlorethylene, the quantity of water being such that, when the solvent has evaporated from treated material, the material appears to be dry.
