Abstract

838,676. Ingot-moulds. FOUNDRY SERVICES Ltd. Dec. 22, 1958 [Jan. 8, 1958], No. 805/58. Class 83 (1). A tile for insertion into a hot-top comprises a heat-insulating or exothermic material, or both, which has a metal mesh reinforcement 3 to which is connected a metal rod 5 which lies close to and parallel with one edge of the tile, and extends beyond the ends of such edge. The support rod 5 may lie within the body of the tile, Fig. 4, or external thereto, Fig. 3. Specifications 627,678, 769,719, 774,490, 774,491 and 812,583 are referred to.
