A collapsible container 1 for transporting liquids is caused to rotate when being towed on or under the sea. In the embodiment shown, rotation is caused by helically extending fins 5. The centrifugal force of the contained liquid renders bracing of the container unnecessary. The container is preferably teardrop shaped.
