[Also in Group XXXVI] A gasket or packing ring for use in a filterpress type electrolyser comprises an easily deformable core such as rubberized asbestos enclosed in a sheathing of polyfluoroethylene, i.e. the polymerization products of mono-, di-, tri- or tetra-fluoroethylene. A strip of the sheathing material may be wound around the core, preferably to provide a double layer. Specification 837,866 is referred to.
