Abstract

836,990. Extensible shoots. INTERNATIONAL COMBUSTION (HOLDINGS) Ltd. Jan. 3, 1957 [Oct. 3, 1955], No. 28146/55. Class 78 (1). An extensible shoot comprises a hopper 2, sections 3 which are formed of chain mail or woven metal, and a water trough 7 which provides a water curtain flowing down the sections to prevent escape of dust from material passing down the shoot. As shown, cables 10 suspend each section, the lowermost section being raised by a winch through cables 16.
