Abstract

835,234. Hydraulic shock absorbers ARMSTRONG PATENTS CO. Ltd. June 14, 1956 [Sept. 27, 1955; Dec. 8, 1955; May 17, 1956], Nos. 27432/55, 35221/55 and 15346/56. Class 108(3) The needle valve 15 (Fig. 1) of a levertype hydraulic shock absorber is threaded at 16 so that rotation by a lever 20 alters its adjustment. As shown in Figs. 5 and 7 the lever 20 is rigid with a housing 82 for a torsion return spring 91. The housing 82 is formed with a V-groove anchorage 81a for an operating cable 83. According to the second and third Provisional Specifications the cable 83 may be replaced by an hydraulic transmission.
