Abstract

835,045. Baling machines. THIEBAUD, J. E. Dec. 18, 1956 [Aug. 21, 1956], No. 38592/56. Class 94(1). In a mobile baling machine, the " pick-up " rotor 5 and the baling ram and associated tying mechanism are supported by side plates 1 which are pivoted to trunnions 2 on uprights 3 carried by the axle 4 of the ground wheels 4<SP>1</SP>. The side plates 1 are coupled by a link 22 to a manually operable lever 20 pivoted to the chassis 30 whereby the assembly may be swung from the operative position shown in Fig. 1 to the inoperative position shown in Fig. 2. Adjustable abutments 19 and a removable retaining bolt 23 are provided for locating the assembly in these two positions. The rotor 5 comprises tines 7 which cooperate with fixed members 6, Fig. 5, secured to a cross-member 9.
