Abstract

834,948. Seat attachments for cycles. TURNEY, R. J. April 16, 1958 [Oct. 15, 1957], No. 32260/57. Classes 136(1) and 136(3) [Also in Group XXV] A seat member 1 is secured to the cross bar 8 of a bicycle by means of an anchorage member 7 which has ears 14 slotted at 15 to form narrow neck portions 16 (Fig. 2, not shown) which fit into key hole slots 6 formed in a bracket 4 secured to the seat member 1. The forward end of the seat member 1 is riveted to a guide member 19 which embraces the upper half of the cross bar. In a modification shown in Fig. 3. key hole slots 34 and formed in an anchorage member 30 for the reception of neck portions 29 formed on a bracket 25 connected to the seat member. Alternatively the seat may be pivoted at its forward end.
