Abstract

834,471. Capillary lubricators. MILLER LUBRICATOR CO. May 1, 1957 [July 30, 1956], No. 13858/57. Class 12 (3). A journal box packing comprises a pair of waste blanket envelopes 14, each of which is looped about a lubricant impervious resilient core 20, the envelopes being secured together so as to lie axially parallel and forming capillary means extending between the top and bottom of the packing adjacent the juncture of the envelopes. Each core 20 comprises a stack of parallel synthetic rubber tubes 50 which may be integrally extruded, as shown, or alternatively they may be separately extruded. The assembly is connected together by straps 22 comprising fabric strips 56 which are secured to the envelopes by stitching. The opposite ends of each blanket are notched. A handle 16 is incorporated in the packing.
