An apparatus for carrying tobacco-sticks during the gathering of tobacco-leaves conprises a bar 1 supported by one or more wheels 3 or skids at its lower end and formed at its upper end with a hooked part 4 which can be placed over the shoulders of a worker, the apparatus having brackets 14, 17 for holding the tobaccostick 15 and having twinebobbins 7 for tying the gathered leaves on to the stick.
