Abstract
821,486. Tapping casks ; bungs. CEECO PRODUCTS PTY. Ltd. Oct. 28, 1957, No. 33619/57. Classes 21 and 125(3). A bung of resilient plastic material Fig. 3, comprises a cylindrical portion 1 to fit the bung hole, a shoulder 3 to prevent the bung from being forced out of the barrel, and an inner tubular member 7 to accommodate a tap or pipe fitting, said member 7 having a cap 10 at its inner end adapted to be broken on entry being made by a tap or pipe. A removable sealing disc 12 closes the outer end and a conical extension from the shoulder 3 facilitates insertion into the barrel. The holes 5 are provided to permit gas to escape from the interior part of the bung.
