820,306. Tables. McGUIRK, T. C. Dec. 16, 1955 [Dec. 31, 1954], No. 37796/54. Classes 52(2), 52(3) and 52(5) Tables adapted to be connected in rows each comprise: at one end, a pair of legs 7 connected to a cross bar 18 hinged at 8 to the undersurface of the top 1, the legs being held in operative position by swinging into a channel member 17 fixed to the undersurface of the top, a bar 10 which is is pivoted between forks 11, 12 of a bracket 9 secured to the top of each leg; at the other end, depehding lugs 5 adapted to take into the spaces between forks 12, 13 of the brackets 9 belonging to the adjacent table. In modifications, a second channel member may be mounted on cross bar 18 and also accommodates bar 10, the lugs 5 may be received between the bar 10 and the table top or the member 17 may be formed with a second channel to receive lugs 5. The first table of a row is either attached at one end to a support or formed with a leg structure at each end.
