828,160. Forcing liquids by gaseous pressure. GALEAZZI, F. Aug. 1, 1956 [Aug. 11,1955],No. 23772/56. Class 102(2). [Also in Group XXIX] A device for spraying liquids comprises a vessel 1, for the liquid and a volatile propellant, which is closed by a cap 11 housing a valve member 12 which is spring loaded to seat on a gasket member 15 and has a tip 25 which initially pierces a frangible disc 9. The liquid is sprayed on opening the valve by passing through a dip tube 10, passing 17, slots 18 to chamber 19 and then through a nozzle 20 of a plug 21. The diameter of the bore of the dip tube 10 is the same or less than the diameter of the bore of the nozzle opening 20. The outlet nozzle is preferably provided with helical grooved member 24.
