Class 120(2) In double-belt draft- ing-apparatus in which the belts are caused to press against one another by one or more members each adjustable in relation to the guide rollers of the belts, a series of parallel bars 11 is provided each disposed transversely of the direction of movement of the belt and the members 13 are hooked or hung over them, their form, weight and position being selected to produce the desired effect. The members may be of the general form shown, comprising a finger part to engage the belt, and a shaped end to provide the pressure: the form of the finger and the weight of the end may vary, and members of similar or different forms may be placed opposite one another or in staggered relationship. The bands may be disposed vertically or at an inclination thereto: they may be broad to serve a number of spnning positions, or they may deliver alternatively to a bilateral spinning system.
