Abstract
<PICT:0826137/III/1> A liquid meter comprises a container 21 divided by a partition into an inlet chamber and an outlet chamber 3, meter mechanism 10 mounted with its outlet connected by a section 31 to an opening in the partition provided with a non-return valve 2, and a by-pass channel 7 for air and vapours separating out from the liquid during flow through the meter having a valve 15 controlled by a float 11 for admitting air &c. to the channel from the inlet chamber, and a non-return valve 8 releasing it to the outlet chamber. Glass covers 16 and 4 allow observation of the valve operation, and of the liquid flow, respectively.
