824,931. Shaft couplings. ZAVODY V.I. LENINA, NARODNI PODNIK, and CHADZI, S. Jan. 4, 1956 [Jan. 6, 1955], No. 294/56. Class 80 (2). In means for securing shafts to shafts or other coupling members wherein the faces of the members have interengaging radial or transverse tapered teeth 13 drawn together by an axial bolt or bolts 10, the included angle of the teeth is less than 60 degrees and the bolts are provided with resilient dished washers 12, the load-deflection characteristic of which is such as to prevent play under the combined effects of axial thrust due to transmitted torque, wear on the teeth and bolt threads, and elongation of the bolts.
