Abstract

Unvulcanized rubber powder is obtained by disintegrating coagulum and then grinding in the presence of a mineral or organic lubricating powder. Thereafter the rubber is sieved and blended with an inert anti-agglomerant, e.g. talc. When the powder is prepared from skim latex the anti-agglomerant may be added before or after coagulation. The powder can be sprayed with hot wax containing, if required, bactericides, e.g. sodium pentachlorphenate, and antioxidants. Specification 741,049, [Group V], is referred to.
