813,649. Brushes for dynamo electric machines. WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC INTERNATIONAL CO. Oct. 2, 1956 [Oct. 7, 1955], No. 29977/56. Addition to 805,176. Class 35. A modification of the brush described in the parent Specification in which the lubricating layer 42 has a thicker part 44 near the working surface 45 to give additional lubrication during the initial stages of use. The thicker part may be step or arcuate-shaped. It is described how a plurality of brushes are made simultaneously. Specification 601,378 and U.S.A. Specifications 2,445,003 and 2,699,404 are referred to.
