[Also in Group XXV] A hook device for straining barbed wire during fence erection, comprises a number of aligned channel members 3 rigidly interconnected at equal intervals corresponding to the pitch of the barbs, the ends 3b providing abutments to support the barbs during straining. The members are welded to a rod 1 either having an eye or hook end 2 to engage a straining agency, e.g. a tractor, or being rigidly connected to the agency.
