[Also in Group XXVIII] A pipe bend is formed by lapping glass fibre coated or impregnated with polyester or epoxy resin around an inflatable core C which may be made of rubber wrapped with a polyvinyl chloride or polythene bandage or of polythene or polyvinyl chloride reinforced by nylon or cotton fibres. Metal collars B may be formed integrally with the pipe by mounting them about the core and holding them by connecting strips A.
