[Also in Groups VI and XI] Heating for an incubator or other warming chamber is obtained by passing an electric current through a coating on a glass panel, which thereby becomes uniformly heated and radiates towards the interior of the chamber. For warming chickens or other small animals a heating panel 1 covered with an insulating pad 3, is mounted on adjustable legs 7 so as to radiate downwards. Thermostats and other controls 9, 10 may be provided. A chamber provided with heating panels 31, Fig. 5, may be used for hatching eggs. They are carried in wire clips 22 on frames mounted on a rotatable shaft 21 so that by rotation of a handle 30 they can be turned about their longitudinal axes during hatching.
