Class 141 [Also in Group XIV] A protective garment for use during shaving &c. has a neck aperture 12 and a slit 13, a single length of binding material 16 being applied to the edges of the aperture and slit so that a double thickness thereof extends along the edge of the aperture. Preferably, the binding of soft knitted fabric is folded longitudinally and lies half on each surface of the garment, the centre of the length of binding being secured at the end of the slit remote from the aperture and each of the ends of the binding being attached along one side of the slit and round the aperture and forming one of the ties 17, 18. A girdle may be provided for securing the garment at the waist.
