819,329. Gyratory crushers. WESTFALIA DINNENDAHL GROPPEL A. G. Feb. 28, 1957 [March 16, 1956], No. 6769/57. Class 59 A cone crusher comprises a hood 4 placed over a stationary stub axle 5 and adapted to be driven about a vertical axis x by means of a shaft 6 and pulley 7, and a breaking cone 3 supported on the hood so as to be gyratable relatively thereto about an axis y intersecting the axis x at the point S, the cone 3 comprising a lower part surrounding the hood and an upper part above the point S, the masses of the hood and of the upper and lower parts of the cone being so arranged that when the hood is rotated and imparts a gyratory movement to the cone, the centrifugal forces due to the rotation of the hood and to the movement of the upper and lower parts of the cone substantially neutralize one another. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 786,258.
