Abstract
818,537. Indicating-apparatus. ALBANO, I. A. April 18, 1957 [Oct. 26, 1956], No. 12643/57. Class 106 (4). Multiple indicating- apparatus has circularly graduated concentric dials 3, 4 whose associated pointers 1, 2 are controlled by transmission from respective mechanisms whose main shafts are spaced laterally from each other behind dial plates. As shown, a Z-shaped pointer 1 moving over a flat dial 3 is carried directly by the main shaft of a speedometer 11, while a pointer 2 moving over a conical dial 4 is carried by a shaft 15 mounted on a frame part in line with the speedometer main shaft and driven through gearing 13, 14 from the main shaft of a revolution counter 12. A central hole in the dial 3 allowing for movement of the pointers 1, 2 is masked by a disc 8 carried by a lug protruding from the dial 4, while a hole in the disc 8 for the pointer 2 is masked by a cap 9 carried by the pointer 2. The dial 3 has two windows through which the milometers can be read and the dial 4 may be translucent and illuminated from the rear by lamps, some light being reflected on to the dial 3.
