[Also in Group XXXVII] A regulator for an oven having heating elements 29, 30 and supplied from a two-voltage system 26-28 comprises four sets of switch contacts conjointly controlled by a thermal element responsive to oven temperature and a manual setting knob having " off " and " broil " positions and a range of " bake " positions. In the " off '' position, normally closed thermostatically controlled contact sets 13, 15 and 14, 16 are opened by a cam 7 of the knob, cam 5 opens contact set 31, 32, and contacts 35, 37 of the change-over set are closed. When the knob is rotated to any " bake " position, the cams allow contact sets 31, 32; 13, 15 and 14, 16 to close, so that both heating elements are connected in parallel across the high voltage lines 26, 27 for flash heating. Upon the oven reaching the selected temperature, contacts 13-16 open and contact 37 is snapped over into engagement with contact 36 to connect element 29 to the lower voltage line 28. Thereafter element 30 cycles on the high voltage lines and element 29 cycles on the low voltage line, both under the control of thermostatically controlled contacts 13-16. In the " broil " position contacts 31, 32 are opened by cam 5 and element 29 cycles on the high voltage lines after the oven has reached temperature.
