Abstract
816,711. Automatic exchange systems. TESLA, NARODNI PODNIK..Oct. 28, 1955 [Nov. 9,1954], No. 30889/55. Class 40 (4). A (ligit represented by a train of impulses is counted into a relay chain which is then set to register the complement of the digit. A further train of impulses is counted into the chain which is driven to saturation at which time this further train is cut off, whereby the further train contains a number of impulses equal to the first train. In the embodiment relays A, D, E have energizing windings A1., D1, E1 and restoring windings A2, D2, E2. A energizes at the beginning of each odd impulse and restores at the beginning of each even impulse. B energizes at the end of each odd impulse and restores at the end of each even impulse, but holds from the end of the 7th to the end of the 10th impulse. C is energized from the beginning of the 2nd to the beginning of the 5th and from the end of the 8th to the beginning of the 11th impulse. D is up from the end of the 3rd to the end of the 9th impulse. E pulls up at the end of the 6th impulse and stays up till the chain reaches saturation at the end of the 12th impulse. When a first train of impulses has been received an auxiliary circuit energizes X (not shown) followed shortly after by Y (not shown). If the digit registered is more than 6, M operates to restore E and otherwise change the registration to the complement. If the digit registered is less than 6, M does not operate and E energizes. If the digit is 6, the chain is unaffected. When the chain is saturated a signal is sent over circuit a5, c5, d4, e4 to stop further impulses.
