Abstract
816,629. Batteries. ACCUMULATORENFABRIK A.G. Oct. 8, 1957 [Oct. 11, 1956], No. 31487/57. Class 53. [Also in Group XVIII] An annular gastight alkaline accumulator, particularly for use in an electrically-operated watch, is made by first inserting two flexible, e.g. corrugated, electrodes 2, 3, with an intervening separator 4 in a straight tubular container 1 made of flexible plastic material. The container is closed by plugs 5 through which the terminals 6, 7 pass. The completed cell is then bent into an incomplete annular form as the terminals 6, 7 pass. The completed cell is shown in Fig. 2 and is inserted in a metal housing 8. The spindle 9 for setting the hands of the watch passes between the ends of the cell.
