Abstract
816,377. Safety razors. PETERS, P. C. Feb. 8, 1956 [June 10, 1955], No. 3956/56. Class 30 A spacer positioned between two safety razor blades, has longitudinal edges which are concave in section the lowest part of the concavity contacting the lower blade and the edge of the spacer contacting the upper blade. As shown, blades 27, 20, and a brass or aluminium spacer 25 are apertured for mounting on a projection 22 in the razor head and are clamped by pivoted members 30 rotated by a threaded stem in the handle 10. The spacer is convex with edge portions formed as a concavity 46 and with the clamping plates 30, flexes the blade 27 to make the cutting edges 41 coplanar with the cuting edges 40 and guards 16.
