Abstract

815,837. Inductors. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. Oct. 18, 1957 [Oct. 25, 1956No. 32587/56. Class 38 (2). [Also in Group XXXVI] A loading coil for use in a cable joint is mounted in a canister 1, Fig. 2, having a locating indentation 15 and a boss 14 to facilitate stacking in sets. Two grommetted holes 17, one on each side, are provided for the cable connections. The sets 2, Fig. 1, are held transversely between retaining members 3, 4 of light metal or artificial resin which are provided with punched holes corresponding to the locating indentations and bosses. The mernbers are secured by tie-rods (not shown). Clamping brackets 6 held by nuts 7 are secured to the cables by clips 9. Specification 799,513 is referred to.
